StopGAP comprises five professional charismatic dancers with and without disabilities who showcase strong dance technique injected with a healthy dose of humour. Point creative associates StopGAP launch a brand new programme and an autumn tour with a unique event in our theatre. StopGAP has commissioned seven UK and international choreographers to join its four charismatic performers on a daring, year-long adventure. The choreographers are: Lucy Bennett, Gary Clarke, Thomas Mettler, Nathalie Pernette, Hofesh Shechter, Rob Tannion and Dan Watson and each has been challenged to create a short dance to become part of a ‘menu’ for a whole evening’s show. As the company tours it will select from the menu to create a unique performance at each venue. Only at The Point will all seven works be performed: a banquet of serene chaos, sinister loveliness and shocking beauty making an evening that is thrilling, dramatic and entertaining. Don’t miss this opportunity to be in at the start of this wonderful project and to catch StopGAP at The Point before it embarks on an extensive UK and international tour.
