Rashmi Becker established Step Change Studios in 2017 to provide opportunities for disabled people to dance Fairy Tales showcases solo, duet and group numbers interpreting the universal themes of childhood tales through ballroom and Latin-inspired dance. The production challenges the boundaries of dance and the dancer, drawing on the artists' backgrounds to create original pieces. Fairy Tales features former ballroom competitor Ian Banham; professional Deaf dancer Natasha Julien; Andrew Self, an aspiring dancer with Down's Syndrome; Romano Solano, a multi-talented dancer; Pawel Karpinski, European wheelchair Latin dance champion; and choreography by Ivana Ostrowski, Nancy Hitzig, and Anna Alvarez.
