Details
Originally created in 1991 by the late Christopher Gable and choreographer Massimo Moricone, this magnificent ballet now returns to the stage, in celebration of Northern Ballet Theatre’s fortieth anniversary. Filled with vivid storytelling and spectacular dance it exemplifies the style for which the company has built a worldwide following. Romeo and Juliet fall madly in love but are forbidden to be together by their feuding families. Opposing the wishes of those around them they marry, initiating a heartbreaking sequence of events, which lead to devastating consequences. Passionate and dramatic, this is ballet at its most intense.
