An Italian in Madrid continues Alston's fascination with the fusion of different cultures and styles and to explore this. Alston has invited BBC Young Dancer grand finalist Vidya Patel to join his company for this exciting new work. Lawrence evokes the tightly controlled but volatile energy of modern tango in his brand new piece Tangent with music by the father of Tango Nueva Astor Piazzolla.
