The women have their turn on a female-only triple bill of solo work. Rachel Krische’s The Swimmer is an adaptation of The Runner, a solo originally created and performed by iconic Judson Church era choreographer Deborah Hay. While following Hay’s set choreographic instructions, the execution is very much Krische’s, resulting in an intense solo which celebrates choreography as a living entity passed from one creator to another. London Contemporary Dance School graduate Gabrielle Reuter gives a philosophical commentary on time and space, as she lists and explores the contents of her stage world in Inventory/Räumung. Using words and gesture, she defines dance and the space in which she dances with humour and honesty. Seen in this year’s Resolution! season, Rohanna Eade’s Running Through You is a charming self portrait set to pop songs by Prince, Tracy Chapman and Joni Mitchell.
