Details
Celebrating its 45th Anniversary in 2000, Paul Taylor Dance Company continues to combine the classical and the contemporary, presenting some of the most exciting and accessible performances in the history of dance.
Roses, a gorgeously romantic piece set to Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll and Heinrich Baermann’s Adagio for Clarinet and Strings.
The Word is a study in group conformity, set to music specially composed by David Israel. The cast of 12 dancers, clad in black and white school uniforms, are challenged by an enigmatic, irreverent figure intent on wreaking havoc with the status quo.
Company B -
Company B, Paul Taylor’s seminal piece of Americana, recalling the turbulent years of the 1940s. The nation lindys, jitterbugs and polkas to the Andrews Sisters and in sharp contrast a generation is drawn into the hell of the Second World War. With its spirited can-can dances.
