The performance is a stunning portrayal of Hindu mythology and Mahalakshmi is about the Hindu Goddess Lakshmi. The ballet s 14 scenes portray the mythological events that emphasise the grandeur of the goddess. A perfect introduction for British theatre lovers to the magical experience of this Indian ballet, the aim of the production is to bring the rich and varied heritage of India to Asian and Western audiences. + thirty-strong entourage of classical dancers and musicians. Known as India’s ‘Dream Girl’, Hema Malini - dancer, actress, producer and director - is one of Bollywood’s best-known stars. Daughters Ahana and Esha Deol have followed in their mother’s footsteps and Esha has starred in films alongside the famous Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan. The ballet will be narrated by Hema Malini, in both Hindi and English.
