Alain Platel founded Les Ballets C. de B. in 1984. A dynamic dance and theatre collective, the company is renowned for its powerful theatrical dance performances. Featuring 19 musicians, 3 singers, 10 dancers and 14 dogs, Platel creates an amazing concoction of chamber music, opera and dance theatre. Platel fills the stage with characters on the edge of society. Each of these, who include a contortionist, an aerialist and two deaf performers, brings with them their own stories and dreams. These narratives are accompanied by a selection of Mozart’s finest Arias performed by three international soloists and the Klangforum Orchestra from Vienna.
