Details

Jasmin Vardimon Company formed JV2 with the mission to develop, encourage and cultivate young talent. The only UK based dance company to offer a full-time one-year professional development certificate, JVC provides participants with a unique opportunity to train as versatile and multi-disciplinary performers and to learn the technical foundations of dance theatre as well as the specific approach developed by Jasmin Vardimon. Including the touring of new repertoire developed specifically for the group, participants also learn how to educate through Jasmin Vardimon Company methods, building confidence as dance educators for future generations. The JVC Certificate aims to develop performers who will be selected to enter the Jasmin Vardimon Company, go forward to lead educational work under the JVC umbrella, or continue as successful performers in their chosen path. Tomorrow presents three new works: an intricate new choreography by Tim Casson (former JVC dancer) inspired by the music processes of American Folktronica duo, ?The Books' which aims to capture the spirit of their distinctive sound; an athletic and gutsy new work by Mafalda Deville (former JVC dancer) which punches with a strong visual style; and to conclude the programme, Artistic Director Jasmin Vardimon (Associate Artist of Sadler's Wells) identifies scenes from her celebrated repertoire, transforming favourite moments from Park, Justitia, 7734 and Yesterday into a completely new experience.
