Houston Ballet is one of the USA's largest and most successful ballet companies. The Mixed Programme will spotlight the versatility of the company and its commitment to developing exciting young choreographers. The company will perform three pieces, to include Trey McIntyre's Second Before the Ground which joyously evokes the sheer exhilaration of falling in love, and is performed to the Kronos Quartet's Pieces of Africa, the Stanton Welch's Bruiser, a high-energy riff on modern romantic relationships inspired by the athleticism and power of competitive sports.
