Details
Eduardo Fukushima is a Brazilian dancer and choreographer with mixed Italian and Japanese ancestry. He trained with many of Brazil's leading figures in dance before creating his first piece, Exit, in 2004. Eduardo's work follows a line of investigation that starts from gesture and movement, and his award-winning solo works have been performed across South America and Europe. Crooked Man was created following a year-long mentorship with Cloud Gate Dance founder Lin Hwai-min as part of the Rolex Mentor and Protege Arts Initiative. In this performance, Eduardo is accompanied by live electronic music created especially to accompany the movement by Tom Monteiro. The evening also includes a special solo created and performed by Eleanor Sikorski. Big Hands, Big Heart - Magnetic performer Eleanor Sikorski premieres a short and not so sweet solo. Sweating from the start, she welcomes the audience into a pump-tastic world in which heart racing is a sport, and handshakes are worth fighting for.
