In a fusion of Breakdance and Bodypopping with sampled Beatboxing and Deejaying, an evening of great groves and fine moves awaits. One to Grow On - Explores the merging of dance styles to create an atmosphere of unity, growth and opportunity between dancers and audience. The piece focuses on boundaries of dance such as Contemporary, Street, Poppin' Lockin' and Breakdance. One to Grow On includes live music by DJ Reed Richards. Vinyl Lino - Examines the early musical influences on the founders of Freshmess. In this brand new work, Frank asks whey the soul/funk/R&B music from the US had a bigger influence than the soul and funk music that was being produced in Scotland. Distant Voices - Explores the world of sign language and opens up new possibilities to share in this language and how it can be translated into dance movement and vocabulary - creating dynamic, engaging and exhilarating dance!
