A fresh and energetic ensemble featuring five of the finest dancers from the Northern region, presents a captivating programme of dance. The performance comprises specially created new work and features choreography by Emma Diamond, a former soloist with the world renowned Merce Cunningham Dance Company who has created work for the Royal Ballet and her own company Diamond Dance. Out of the Blue features a specially commissioned score by composer Martyn Harry and a stunning video installation of water imagery shot throughout Northumberland and Cumbria. The choreography creates a mesmerising rapport between the ebb and flow of bodies as they are caught in a relentless and fluctuating current. Lick and Promise with a trio of women dancers explores questions of physical beauty.
