War Requiem archiveWith kind support of the Royal Albert Hall. To mark the 90th anniversary of Armistice Day, The Royal Opera will present a concert performance of Britten's War Requiem at the Royal Albert Hall. With text taken from the Requiem Mass and poems by Wilfred Owen, this great commemorative war elegy was first performed in Coventry Cathedral on 30th May 1962 to great critical and popular acclaim.
