Details
Widely acclaimed as one of the world's greatest classical musicians, Mullova has in recent years developed a fascination with the common ground between classical, jazz and world music. Here she performs and discusses a programme featuring the great Hungarian works of Bartok alongside arrangements of the legendary Gypsy band Bratsch. The programme also includes commissions by British composers and collaborations with the jazz pianist Julian Joseph, whose previous work with Mullova was described as 'genuinely new and beguiling' (Times).
