As artist in residence at Tate Britain, lyrical saxophonist and composer Tim Whitehead (a former member of Loose Tubes) produced a remarkable synthesis of image and music by improvising in front of Turner s paintings. He then created a terrific series of compositions from these "sketches". Playing at artsdepot with his quartet (featuring pianist Liam Noble), Tim completes the circle by performing the works in front of projections of the Turner paintings that first inspired his works. An event for music and art lovers alike!
