The Smart Trio was formed in 1999 by three graduates of the Royal Northern College of Music. Helena has been a string finalist in the BBC Musician of the Year. Leandro has won several prizes for chamber music playing while Gavin completed a masters degree at the RNCM, specialising in accompaniment.
