Details
A powerful vision of life, death and afterlife, Elgar's The Dream of Gerontius is a monument of orchestral brilliance and choral finesse. From the solemn opening to the terrifying immensity of the Demons' Chorus, it is rightly considered by many to be Elgar's greatest work. For this very special evening, celebrating Hilary Davan Wetton's 70th birthday, the full forces of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra combine with a choir of over 300 hundred voices, led by the renowned City of London Choir.
