Sinfonia Cymru was formed by Musical Director Gareth Jones and creates a unique platform to launch young players into the music profession at the beginning of their career. This concert will herald the beginning of Sinfonia Cymru’s second year of residency at The Riverfront. The programme is typical in appeal and includes Stravinsky’s Concerto in D for string orchestra, Bach’s beautifully melodious Concerto for violin and oboe and will finish off with Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony described by Sir Charles Grove as "the greatest orchestral work of the world which preceded the French Revolution".
