Starting out on the comedy circuit in the 70s, she took her first film role in Martin Scorsese's 'The King of Comedy' in 1983, and also played Nancy Bartlett in 'Roseanne' in the 90s. Her live performances are part comedy, part social satire, and part cabaret .Based on her latest album, Whatever It Takes. her show is 'an inspired mix of sophistication, sensuality and pure rock & roll, stirred with the rousing passion of authentic world music.
