Our Proms Indian Voices day begins with a concert of north Indian classical khyal singing, featuring Pandit Ram Narayan, the greatest living sarangi (short-necked fiddle) player; Manjiri Asnare Kelkar, the rising star of the Jaipur–Gwalior khyal school; the two Mishra brothers, the foremost exponents of the virtuoso Varanasi vocal style; and Asima, an iconoclastic, boundary-breaking young ensemble from Kerala. There will be one interval. Approx finish time 13:30. Live on BBC Radio 3.
