Part of the BBC Proms. As the culmination of a major youth singing programme, one of England's great choral institutions is joined by the BBC Singers, the National Youth Choir of Great Britain and children from London schools, to perform a specially commissioned work. The Angry Planet is the latest collaboration between prize-winning poet Charles Bennett and composer-conductor Bob Chilcott and expresses, the composer says, ?a deep love for an environment both celebrated and mourned'. Following the success of the signed Proms in the past two years, Dr Paul Whittaker, Artistic Director of Music and the Deaf, returns to guide you through The Angry Planet (Prom 30) on Sunday 5 August. Tickets cost ?12; disabled concert-goers (plus one companion) receive a 50% discount. Please book your tickets online in the usual way. If you require good visibility of the signer, please choose the ?Stalls Signer Area' online when selecting your tickets on the Royal Albert Hall website, or call the Access Information Line on 020 7070 4410 and request this area.
