Chadwick's acapella songs, performed by the singers of AMAR, are threaded with strange and wild stories. Some of the songs include foot patterns and body percussion. Others are influenced by her tours in South America, Africa and Central Asia . Lyrics are inspired by events on these singing journeys, or are drawn from poets across the world. AMAR is a flexible group who sing Chadwick's music with her in the UK and Europe and also perform their own material - the site specific song/story/theatre show A BODY OF SONG was a sell out success at the Greenwich Theatre last year. The performers joining Helen for this show include: Hazel Holder who works extensively as an actress and jazz singer, and Barbara Gellhorn who sang in the RSC world tour last year and who also performs a classical repertoire.
