Mid Somerset Orchestra - Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 2 archive

The MSO's autumn concert marks a most welcome and long overdue return of pianist Duncan Honeybourne as soloist in Rachmaninov's passionate, romantic and ever popular 2nd Piano Concerto, full of the most wonderful melodies. Duncan enjoys a rich and diverse career playing concertos and giving recitals at many major venues. The concert opens with Beethoven's heroic Egmont Overture. After the interval comes Brahms' 1st Symphony, opening in tragic mood with lyrical release before reaching a triumphant finale.
