Kathryn Williams archiveOne of the most exciting songwriters to emerge for a long time, Kathryn went to art college in Newcastle, and played her first ever gig in the city. Her first album Dog Leap Stairs was released in 1999 to critical approval, and the follow-up, Little Black Numbers was shortlisted for the Mercury Music Prize in 2000. With sparse tunes, rich words, and beautiful arrangements she has a crystal clear, impossibly moving voice. Kathryn Williams website.
