The Fire Collectives origins are in Cuban percussion-choir music which bridges Yoruba religious and dance grooves, contemporary jazz and improv, Meta Meta features alto-saxist Barak Schmool, flautist-saxist Finn Peters, keyboardist Nick Ramm, guitarist David Okumu. The horns, balance a contemporary sound with traditional rhythms of Cuba.
