Details
As part of our Unstoppable Voices season, post-punk band ILL bring their genre-evading sounds to the Royal Albert Hall's Elgar Room. With a repertoire of precarious pop songs and frequent improvised departures, ILL revel in the right to be weird, exploring the borders between the funny and sinister, the personal and political and the mundane and surreal. Expect tracks from their latest album, We Are ILL, described as a call to action and disobedient protest in the face of passivity. The album wrestles with the personal and political issues of identity and gender, mental health, the disintegration of social services, capitalism and misogyny.
