Hooked on Classics archiveWith over 13 million units sold worldwide, Louis Clark's Hooked On Classics is one of the most successful album series of the last 30 years, and now it's back with a new live production. The legendary Louis Clark, former arranger for Electric Light Orchestra, will be conducting the English Pops Orchestra featuring a number of players who recorded on the original albums, recreating the magical Hooked On Classics live in concert. Hooked on Classics is a series of record albums first introduced in 1981. Louis Clark, conducted the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra playing a collection of very recognizable extracts from classical music pieces played over a continuous beat. This is called the Symphonic Rock or Orchestrated Rock genre. The album gave Louis a No. 1 single in the UK and a No. 1 album in the United States. It was also a Top 10 hit in every major territory around the world and earned Gold and Platinum discs in no less than 27 countries! Uniquely, Louis Clark has given classical music modern arrangements, but he considers himself to be a musician and entertainer, not an educator and he has been singularly successful in bringing classical music to a much broader audience.
