Five burst onto the pop scene in 1997 with their brilliant debut, 'Slam Dunk (Da Funk)'. Formed by the founders of The Spice Girls, and auditioned from 3,000 hopefuls, the five teenagers were immediately snapped up by RCA, the record company behind the mighty Take That. Their individual characters were an instant hit with teenage girls, and their laddish outlook appealed to the guys too.
