The ESO returns to Malvern Theatres after an eight year absence with a concert of Elgar and Brahms, conducted by Kenneth Woods with Alexander Sitkovetsky (violin). The Worcestershire-based orchestra was founded in 1987 by William Boughton and includes Yehudi Menuhin and Vernon Handley amongst its previous principal and associate conductors. Kenneth Woods was appointed principal conductor in 2013, having come to national prominence through critically acclaimed recordings of Mahler, Schumann, G?l, Falla and Brahms on the Avie, Signum, Somm, MSR and Nimbus labels.
