Emma Johnson is one of the few clarinettists to have established an international career as a soloist and has performed across the world. Emma Johnson won the 1984 Young Musician Of The Year Award, a rare feat for a clarinettist. Clarinettist Emma Johnson is one of the best-loved artists on the British music scene. She has performed with all the major orchestras and at all the major venues, and this programme features music written for her by John Dankworth as well as her own medley from Bernstein’s West Side Story, created with pianist John Lenehan.
