Diana Krall is one of the rare jazz performers who can sing and play the piano with equal, dazzling flair. The multi-platinum selling artist released her debut album in 1993 on a small Canadian label, but it wasn't until 1999 that her career exploded after When I Look in Your Eyes won a Grammy for best jazz vocal and became the first jazz album to be nominated for Album of the Year in 25 years. Over the past nineteen years Diana has shown that a jazz musician can enjoy mass appeal without sacrificing her jazz foundation, continuing to release albums to much critical acclaim and huge commercial success.
