Details
Formed to explore the wealth of fine chamber music written for small mixed ensembles of wind, string, piano and voice. Conchord concerts are given by three to six artists who perform pieces in combinations varying from duo to sextet. The ensemble's repertoire ranges from the Baroque period right through to contemporary composers and includes well-known masterpieces alongside seldom-heard discoveries. Conchord's particular passion is to bring to the fore works by well-loved composers that are seldom heard because of their unusual instrumental combination.
