Classical concert. The orchestra will present an eclectic evening of world-class music, with a programme featuring works both old and new. The orchestra will begin with Mozart's contrasting Adagio and Fugue, which was written three years before his death. Doubling up as soloist and solo clarinettist, Michael Collins will then perform two pieces with the orchestra: Elena Kats-Chernin's evocative piece, Ornamental Air, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Clarinet Concerto. A wonderfully playful and engaging work for strings, Benjamin Britten's Simple Symphony will also feature in the programme. City of London Sinfonia website.
