A festive blend of music and narrative, Christmas Champions offers an enjoyable evening of seasonal entertainment. Building upon the music of midwinter, both choral and instrumental, the show features new songs and re-workings of established carols. What sets the show apart is the way in which their voices are worked into recordings of Herbie Smith's reminiscences of Mumming in the Medway Valley at the turn of the last century. It is the true, native, vernacular mystery play and this performance brings it vividly to life.
