Celloman archiveCelloman play a blend of Middle Eastern and African rhythms, Eastern and Western classically inspired melodies, hypnotic harmonies and driving funky Bass & Drums. 'Proof that the cello can be surprisingly sensuous and funky - all at the same time.' The Observer Celloman's show marks the launch of his fabulous second album. 'Maya' follows the stunning debut 'Aquador'. Embracing Ivan (Celloman) Hussey's range of musical influences from Middle Eastern and reggae to soul and funk, with occasional classical hints, this band put the cello at the forefront where it belongs. Ivan plays electric cello (plus a touch of acoustic) accompanied by percussionists Fedja Franklin and Tamsay Omar, and other guests.
