Details
The band formerly known as The Maltings Concert Band, under the expert baton of Bob Richards. The programme spans four centuries, with the earliest dating from Shakespeare’s time, up to the rarely heard original version of Land of Hope & Glory. It also includes film music from 633 Squadron and Richard III; some Gilbert & Sullivan; music with links to Berwick; and show music by England’s answer to Rodgers & Hammerstein. Kate Fish will also sing Business Girls and Song of the Nightclub Proprietress, two very atmospheric songs, by the late Madeleine Dring.
