Brainchild of Turner prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller, Acid Brass fuses traditional brass music and acid house. Acid Brass began in 1997 when Deller saw the connection between two seemingly disparate genres, acid house and brass band music. He recruited Rodney Newton to create brass arrangements for a number of acid house anthems and the the Stockport-based Fairey Brass Band to perform them, and so Acid Brass was born. It has been performed at festivals and venues all over the world including The Louvre in Paris. Riverside Terrace
