The Times: 11Jan01: Star RatingStar RatingStar RatingStar Rating
It is a curious hybrid of an evening - one part Joan Rivers, one part Spalding Gray. [Martin Sherman]'s direction makes the most of the star's exuberant physicality. Wax leaps and crouches, slumps on a sofa and waves her hips like an overgrown cheerleader. Again and again the chastises herself on the subject of her vital statistics. Actually, it is the script that needs to go on a diet. A few pounds here and there would make all the difference.
