Comedy Thursday archiveCarl Donnelly - Carl started performing stand-up in 2005 and quickly established himself as one of the UK's most exciting young comedians. Carl has also appeared on various TV shows including Mock The Week,Dave's One Night Stand, Stand Up for the Week and Russell Howard's Good News. He is also a regular on radio appearing as a guest on such shows as BBC 5live's ?The Back End of Next Week', Radio 4's ?Loose Ends' and ?Act Your Age' as well as being a regular guest on talkSPORT. Ed Gamble - With Peacock & Gamble, Ed has presented shows for BBC Radio 4 Extra's The Comedy Club and has appeared as a regular host, alongside Ray Peacock on the show. The duo also starred in Warm Up for BBC Comedy Online. Ed made a return to the Edinburgh Festival last year with The Peacock and Gamble Emergency Broadcast & Podcast, which was highly praised in The List for its "moments of stupendous invention".Lucy Beaumont - Winner of the 2012 BBC New Comedy Award, Lucy is a hugely talented comedy actress and writer. In August 2011 she was a finalist in the Guilded Balloon's nationwide stand-up comedy competition So You Think You're Funny? In 2009 Lucy was elected to be mentored by Jeremy Dyson (League of Gentlemen) as part of Northern Laughs, a BBC initiative aimed at finding new comedy writing talent in the North of England. Since then Lucy's work has been showcased by BBC Comedy North, West Yorkshire Playhouse and the 24:7 Theatre Festival.
