An award-winning comedy night at Brighton's award-winning club, Charity Chuckle presents the best new stand-up on the circuit for the benefit of a different local charity each month. Established comedians hone new material alongside brand new acts, and you never know who might pop in with a killer 5. May is a special time because of the Brighton Fringe, and this month's special headliner is one of America's finest stand-ups, AL LUBEL. Al is a world-class comic. He's been on the Late Show with David Letterman no less than five times. He supported Bill Hicks and Jerry Seinfeld on tour, the latter saying he "has one of the best jokes I have ever heard" - in the comedy world, praise doesn't come much higher! In a Brighton exclusive, Charity Chuckle is his only Sussex gig on this visit to the UK. In support is MARK SIMMONS. He's hilarious, his first solo show last year in Edinburgh was "packed full of inventive one-liners" (Chortle), and he's currently on tour with Seann Walsh. If you like Tim Vine you'll love Mark Simmons. He's at least three laughs a minute! Brighton resident SAM SAVAGE won Funny's Funny Best Female Comedian 2012 and was runner-up in the NATYS in 2013. Described by Chortle as "A comedy natural - the female Micky Flanagan", here she will be in character as suburban housewife Linda Larkin. Part Abigail's Party, part Pam Ayres, she's cutting and irresistible. Managing to mix silliness with edginess, JULIET MEYERS has a chatty style that allows her to interact with the crowd. She has been bringing her own brand of hilarious, cerebral, observational, gag ?driven comedy to the stage for 7 years. "Laugh out loud funny" Chortle
