An original and ground-breaking performance combining circus theatre and visual installation. On the ground and in the air this is a compelling mixture of aerial movement, moving image and video projection accompanied by a specially devised sound-scape. This new show is Layla's search to know her identity. As one of the UK's most established contemporary circus and live art performance artists, She grew up not knowing her Saudi Arabian father, but what if her life had been different and she had been a woman of Islam? Layla Rosa is a founding member, artistic director, performer and choreographer of acclaimed performance collective Shunt. After a year of research with the Muslim community groups at Oxford House, Bethnal Green, Layla tries to answer some of her own questions. Join her in this visual and thought-provoking journey.
