A national radio regular and with several albums to her credit, including the hit
Songs of Dory Previn, Kate Dimbleby has been described by The Times as
?One of the most versatile singers on the jazz/blues circuit'. A natural born performer and drawn to music from a young age, she grew up in a family where performing was the norm. Her father is the broadcaster David Dimbleby and her mother was a trained classical singer. Her uncle on her mother's side played jazz piano, trumpet and blues harp, and inspired her with his collection of gramophone records. 'In an age where audiences are driven to elation by screeching high-belt notes, special effects and reality TV searches, a touching, raw-voiced storyteller brings us back home to what many subconsciously yearn for - authenticity.' The Stage. Internationally acclaimed performer Kate Dimbleby and pianist Naadia Sheriff return to the Crazy Coqs with a brand new songbook of soulful and mischievious songs inspired by the female songwriters of the 1970's plus a preview of original material from Kate's new acapella album "Songbirds".
