Details
Alphonse, a remarkable boy with a huge imagination, has not returned home and everyone is searching for him: his parents, his friends, his teachers, the police. Meanwhile, Alphonse is walking along a country road inventing the extraordinary adventures of Pierre-Paul Rene, 'a gentle boy with a one-note voice who is never surprised by anything'. A paean to the imagination of the child, Mouawad's story-within-a-story reminds adults of what we've left behind and beguiles younger audiences with a delightful tale of magic and wonder. Alon Nashman plays dozens of characters, all connected to Alphonse, who discovers with some sadness -- the difference between knowing and believing.
