Details
Mind the Gap Theatre presents an evening of surreal comic works by the acclaimed contemporary playwright Christopher Durang, whose award-winning plays have been a feature both on and off Broadway since his first piece
The Idiots Karamazov was produced in 1974. Still a hugely successful playwright today, his 2009 work
Why Torture is Wrong and
The People Who Love Them received critical acclaim following it’s recent performance at the Public Theatre in New York.
Durang Durang is brought to the UK by Mind The Gap Theatre Company, who have taken the show to London direct from a successful run at the Gilded Balloon at the Edinburgh festival 2009. The company specialise in bringing the best new British drama to New York City, and include Dame Judi Dench and Dame Helen Mirren among the company’s board of advisors. This production sees Mind The Gap complete their aspiration to bring a New York production to the UK, taking the play from off-broadway to off-west-end in a production of the text never before seen in London.
