The President and the Pakistani archive1985. Harlem. 3am. Barry Obama and his room-mate Sal Maqbool are looking for a missing dog on the streets of New York. Based on a short extract from Obama's memoir Dreams from My Father, it is set during the chapter of President Obama's life when he lived with an illegal immigrant in the crime ridden and violent neighbourhood of Harlem in New York. The play looks at one night and the choices a young man made in the pursuit of his dream. Running time: 80mins
