From fashion to sport to home furnishings, everyday items we covet and take for granted have been made using child labour. Iqbal Masih was one such child; 'sold' at the age of four to a carpet factory he spent six years, working up to 16 hour a day, shackled to a loom. He was freed by activist's and began his world-wide campaign on behalf of an exploited workforce, receiving international acclaim for highlighting the horrors of child labour. One day, whilst out riding his bycycle, he was shot and killed. He was 12 years old. Inspired by Iqbal's life.
