The play tells the story of a remarkable man, Father Des Wilson, sent to a West Belfast parish in 1966 to teach him a lesson for his interest in ecumenism and to stop his radical ideas. In the event, this passionate, deeply human and humorous man emerged as a major figure who contributed an enormous amount to Belfast during the most troubled years.
