Now in the third year of its four year programme, Ticket to Write is a national playwriting project unearthing the writers of tomorrow, for which Paines Plough have joined forces with Octagon Theatre, Bolton, Newcastle's Live Theatre, West Yorkshire Playhouse and, in this instance Bristol Old Vic. In each of the four regions new writers have been challenged to write a fifteen minute play, the best of which have then bee professionally produced and toured to each of the venues. Direct from the smouldering fingertips of the hottest writing talent that multicultural Yorkshire has bred. From spiritual breakthrough to celebrity breakdown; from Asian ladies lunching to hanging with the homies; from company loyalty to singing Divas; from bombs ticking to biological clocks racing...an evening of life-enhancing theatre by new voices with something to say.
