Details
A cantankerous man has taken a clown hostage with the aim to knock some sense into him. However, confronting the clown with violence and the harsh realities of life only leads to more punch-lines. Through mime, slapstick, farce, poetry and music the man soon discovers that if you can't beat them, join them. A Little Nonsense is a dark comedy that celebrates the importance of having light and shade within our own mundane lives. Inspired by the melancholy and slapstick of Buster Keaton, the frustrations of language in Beckett and the surreal poetry of David Lynch this piece explores expectance and acceptance in a tortured relationship. Running time: 60mins. Suitability: 13+
